I happen to end the month of May by watching the most awaited Disney movie that features one of the most hated or shall I say, in my case, most loved villain: MALEFICENT!
Let’s just say, if it weren’t for Angelina Jolie, I don’t think I’d like the movie that much. The effects were excellent and Jolie’s acting was of course ‘magnificent’ and heartwarming (if you’ve seen it, you know what I mean).
I don’t know what made me say it’s so-so if it weren’t for Jolie, I guess it’s the supporting characters? lol Or maybe the resemblance of the story to that of the recent Disney release ‘Frozen’. It could have probably grossed more if it was released earlier than Frozen coz then they’d receive the first “wow” for the twist. It did have major changes from how we know the story of Sleeping Beauty. Disney totally changed the fairy tale story we grew up with! But it was excellent execution, Avatarish, Super Heroish, Iron Mannish, for a while there I even thought Jolie became catwoman, but sa’ll good. There was justice.
I give this movie 5/10!

Yep, just been to Korea. I didn’t expect going there this soon even though it’s in my bucket list. I was invited by my friend/housemate Kim to take a trip there. She’s a Kpop Fanatic so it’s her dream come true to go there. Thing is, she remembered me making a promise that I’d go with her if ever the opportunity comes. So I had no choice but to fulfill my promise even if I only came from the States 4mos prior(READ: out of budget).
This is where we’re checked in.
Besides thinking of how short my financial status will be after the trip, I just thought of the personal experience I’m gonna gain throughout the tour. It was a 4-night, 3-day tour around Seoul, the famous Gyeongbokgung Palace, Myeongdong Shopping District, Nami Island and Everland Resort. We even had a university tour (HanYang University) because it was enlisted as an educational tour with members of the Centro Escolar University Faculty.
Statue of one of the most popular Koreanovelas entitled “Winter Sonata” in Nami Island.
We even had side trips to Gangnam and the SM Entertainment Building where the Kpop Stars go.
Overall, it was a superb experience alright. I’d comeback coz I know there’s waaaaay more to explore in Korea. I haven’t been to Seoul Tower or Namsan Tower and Jeju Island!
